Katelyn was loved by all who knew her and will contine to love her forever. She was such a special part of our lives and will continue to be our beautiful angel in heaven.
On June 24, 2006, the worst possible thing happened that no parent ever could imagine! God had taken our beautiful Katelyn to heaven with him. Katelyn had followed our dog(Cocoa) and wondered into the woods by our house and drowned in a pond. Jerry was outside with Andrew and Dylan getting our boat ready to go for a ride. I had just got home with Katie, I took her to the store. She wanted to play outside with Cocoa. I proceeded to get dinner ready that day, and Jerry was just finishing with the boat, and he came in and asked if she was in the house. I said no, and we went outside to look for her. She was no where to be found. Cocoa was gone, also. My brother-in-law came by just a couple minutes after we started to look for her, and he helped to look, too. Not a short time passed and Jerry called me to call 911! I panicked and after I called they came carrying her body out of the woods! This was the most tragic day of my life and would never want any other parent to go through this. There is so much guilt no one could ever know, unless they have been through the same situation. Deep down I know it was an accident, but the guilt continues to be there. All I know is that I wish this was a big nightmare that would end.............
